Faith Formation Vision Statement

St. Anthony Parish, realizing that faith is a journey that leads us to seek understanding of God and a relationship with His Son, Jesus, we engage people of all ages and stages of life through experiences that allow us to know, love, and serve the Lord more deeply and completely.

The most important task of the catechesis of children is to provide, through the witness of adults, an environment in which young people can grow in faith.

Children’s Opportunities

Youth Ministry at St. Margaret-St. John Parish and St. Anthony Parishes respect that our youth have many God-given gifts and talents, and we encourage them to use them to make a difference. SMSJSACYM focuses on the eight components and three goals of Catholic Youth Ministry written in Renewing the Vision. By doing so, youth ministry has a lot of variety for every person, but one goal—to put Christ at the center of your life.

  • Children's Ministry, which is a joint effort with St. Margaret-St. John Parish, includes children from pre-school to 5th grade through different dynamic faith formation programs, parish activities, and opportunities to help them grow as young disciples. Our goal is to help equip and mentor parents to be faith-filled adult Catholics who are able to share your faith with your children, who look to you more than anyone else to show them how to live out their faith. Through this ministry your child will be able to experience God in different ways and begin their journey to becoming his newest faith-filled disciples.
  • PREP is a faith formation program open to children in Kindergarten through the 8th grade. Sessions start at 9:45 a.m. and finish at 11:00 a.m and meet at St. Anthony Parish Rectory. Preparation for the sacraments of 1st Reconciliation and 1st Holy Communion also take place in this program. To register, follow this link and fill out the digital form at the bottom of the page.
