St. Anthony Parish Pastoral Council
The main purpose of the Parish Pastoral Council is to represent our diverse parish, and to advise the Pastor. Using a consensus model of decision making, this group develops and refines the plans for our Parish. St. Anthony Parish Pastoral Council originated in the early 1970's as an informal group under the pastorate of Father John Campbell. The Parish Council was formalized in 1978 with the approval of a Constitution and By-Laws. In 1997 the Parish Pastoral Council Guidelines were ratified and again in November 2011.
Our Parish Pastoral Council meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:00 pm in the Parish Center except in December and July.
Since 2005, St. Anthony has structured parish life around five focus areas: Worship, Faith Formation, Justice, Outreach and Stewardship. These areas are designed so that staff and parishioners can most effectively collaborate on and communicate about setting and achieving the priorities of the parish. Each Focus Area works on the parish-wide goals through their particular ministries. The Parish Council serves as the center of communication with and between the Focus Areas, and each year during the fall and spring members of the five areas gather together to set goals and celebrate successes.
